Am I metro?
I have recently acquired a new pair of shoes (in the process actually). You can’t actually buy these in Australia. You can get a similar style but you can’t get the color that I wanted. Similarly all the places on the internet don’t ship to OZ. So I have a “friend” in the States has bought me the said shoes and is sending them over.
It has been suggested by said “friend” that these shoes make me "Metro". I propose two questions;
1. Am I “metro”? (closet or otherwise).
2. Do these shoes make me “metro”?

They could be. But they could also be outdoorsy type or nerd type depending on whether you paired them with a polarfleece vest or uniform black and blue.
I reckon they look pretty comfy.
They're not metro - no way. Much more mountain man.
I wouldn't say you're metro, Mike. For starters, you don't have a ridiculous hair cut.
I still remember the time when I use that word and The Borg thought I'd made it up. ;)
1. no

Dear Closet Metro,
"I own CDs by the Spice Girls, Mariah Carey, Cleine Dion and Dido."
"I watch the OC and have a favorite character."
"I pretend not to know or care for fashion but really it's something I always consider when going out."
"I will go through immeasurable lengths to purchase and acquire shoes that cost $100."

I think these shoes look comfy , but i would have chose a different colour. slightly feeble!
those shoes are totally not metro, even the mere fact of asking whether they are means that you're a long way off the mark!
